Nourhan Ahmed

Nourhan Ahmed She is an international composer Based in Cairo, Egypt. She was born in Alexandria, Egypt in an Egyptian Brazilian Family. She started to discover her love to music after she joined the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Children Choir at the age of 5 in 2004. At the age of 10 she started to learn violin in her school and she won many competitions among the country. In 2014 she joined the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Adult Choir. In 2015 she joined the Higher Institute of Arabic Music high school and she graduated with a diploma in violin performance. During the last year of her high school she started to discover her talent in composition and decided to complete her study in it. In 2018 she moved to Cairo to study her bachelor in music theories, composition and conducting. During her bachelor and high school, she had many classes in singing, acoustics, dancing, piano and oud performance in her institute beside her major. Also During that time she had many workshops , courses and master classes in composition, singing and violin performance. she wrote one short film score and many other compositions. Her main inspiring style was the classical western music and the Arabic modes. Now she aims to compose more music with modern and contemporary styles and to make a different cultural fusions. She believes that music is a story telling way and every composition she made always has a special story.
